Home Instead Senior Care is celebrating reaching a record number of 30 ‘Outstanding’ ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – making the company the first home care provider to do so.
With 190 offices across the UK, the award-winning business has achieved a series of CQC firsts since the new inspection system was introduced. This began with its West Lancashire and Chorley office being among the first three adult social care services in England to achieve the pinnacle rating in 2015.
Martin Jones, Managing Director of Home Instead’s UK network, said: “Being awarded our 30th CQC Outstanding is something we’re incredibly proud of and is a significant milestone. Our achievements over the last three years demonstrate that what we do really is outstanding.”
Its compassionate approach to home care also secured the first double Outstanding home care provider accolade in London, which was achieved by the Wimbledon and Kingston office earlier this year.
Martin added: “The strength of our unique model is built on a bespoke approach to the delivery of quality home care. It’s about truly making a difference to the lives of older people.
"We need to be responsive to the needs of our ageing population and I firmly believe that our sector’s mind-set should focus on individuals’ needs and delivery of positive outcomes, rather than tasks.”
Andrea Sutcliffe, CQC’s Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care, said: “I would like to applaud everyone at Home Instead on all of the hard work and determination that sits behind this tremendous milestone.
“Through CQC’s quality ratings, we will continue to celebrate the very best services we see in order to show great care can be done and to help others improve too.”
