Home care provider Bluebird Care has treated some of its customers to a trip to the seaside.
Bluebird Care Maidstone took a group of customers to the seafront at Whitstable, where they were treated to fish and chips in a local restaurant.
Bluebird Care customer Ron Coleman, who is unable to go out too often because of his poor eyesight, said: "The trip really was lovely. I very much enjoyed it and we were given good weather in the end! I generally only go out once or twice a week to the local shops, so heading to Whitstable was a really welcome break from the ordinary.
"It was lovely to spend time with the other guests and also get a lift from my care assistant as this enabled me to come."
Mel Marriott, Care Manager at Bluebird Care Maidstone, said: "As part of our commitment to providing a premium care service, we arrange regular outings for our customers.
"This trip was something that our customers really looked forward to and I am proud to have been able to arrange it. I know that for all those who joined, the day was really special and something that they will remember for a long time.
"Our outings are free of charge and make a really positive impact on the lives of our customers, many of whom find spending time away from the home challenging as they have mobility issues. The events provide an important opportunity for our customers to socialise and help to combat loneliness and social isolation."
Bluebird Care Maidstone supports elderly and vulnerable adults with a variety of care needs that make living alone difficult, from short-term care after an injury or illness, to long-term care and support, and 24-hour live-in care.
