HCP Social Enterprise, an innovative social enterprise company, is vowing to get the nation doing the limbo through its new and inspiring social media campaign, ‘Care to Limbo’.
Launched this month, with the help of a raft of celebrities and ambassadors, the Care to Limbo campaign is designed to help raise awareness and funds for four chosen charities, all of which benefit society and contribute immensely to local communities; Alzheimer’s Society, Carers UK, Crisis and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Care to Limbo is a simple and fun challenge that involves participants accepting a dare to dance under a limbo bar, without touching the bar or knocking it off. Participants film and share their limbo attempt on social media to encourage others to take part and donate to one of the four charities.
Known as #CareToLimbo or @CareToLimbo, it is hoped the campaign will be hugely successful and go viral, similar to the “Ice Bucket Challenge”.
To date, retired athlete Dwain Chambers, players of QPR football team and a number of MPs have been getting involved to lend their support.
HCP Social Enterprise was founded in 2017 and is a successful division of Home Care Preferred, an award-winning North London-based home care service provider, bringing tangible benefits to society.
Ken Waterhouse, Managing Director of Home Care Preferred, who is spearheading the social media challenge said: “We believe that our Care to Limbo campaign has the potential to bring different demographics together and unite everyone through a light-hearted activity with a much deeper meaning and goal.
“We are encouraging people to get creative, whether it’s using a fun alternative to a limbo bar or by involving friends, family, co-workers or even pets. We’d love businesses, schools, churches, leisure groups, gyms and many more to get involved, giving the campaign a real community feel.”
In addition to the campaign, HCP Social Enterprise will host a HCP Care to Limbo Christmas Gala fundraising event on 12 December 2017. Taking place at the Bloomsbury Street Hotel, the inaugural event will celebrate the achievements of the campaign and include a whole host of entertainment, auctions and raffle prizes.
