A Telford nursing home has donated a much-loved dolls house to children at a local day nursery to help develop their imagination and interaction.

Kind-hearted staff from Myford House Nursing Home, in Horsehay, have given a Georgian-style dolls house to ABC Nursery in Lightmoor Village.

Debbie Pugh, Manager of Myford Housing Nursing Home, said: “The dollhouse was originally given to us by a nurse several years ago but gradually our residents have used it less and less.

“We know how professional the nursery is ran and how much the children would love the toy so we decided to donate it to them. It is already being put to good use.”

Kelly Orrock, Manager at ABC Nursery, added: “Children of a variety of ages are enjoying the dollhouse and we can’t thank Debbie and her team enough for their generosity.

“It comes complete with great detail including characters and furniture and it is proving to be a big hit – also helping children with their social skills and to develop their imagination. We are certain our children will love it for many years to come.”
