Residents and staff at MHA’s Reuben Manor care home in Stockton-on-Tees enjoyed a day of fun to celebrate ten years since the home’s opening.
The anniversary festivities took place on Friday 14th June and kicked off with indoor games and a performance from belly dancers, followed by a lunchtime buffet and celebratory drinks.
In the afternoon, residents were then treated to performances by an Elvis tribute act and a local singer, who performed a selection of vintage songs. The Reuben Manor choir, made up of residents, also debuted.
Two residents, May Wright and Brenda Higman, who have been living at the home since its opening day, were later presented with bouquets of flowers by Home Manager Julie Peyton.
Julie said: “We all had such a lovely time celebrating with our residents! It was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves and taking part in the activities. We wanted to celebrate our 10th birthday in style and I think we can certainly say we’ve done that.
“We’re proud to continue offering our residents the very best residential and dementia care. The team here is so dedicated and hardworking, always going above and beyond to bring quality care to our residents’ lives.”
