Thorne Golf Club is holding its annual charity Golf Day to support the St John’s Hospice Appeal. The day takes place on Saturday 19th September at the Kirton Lane Club, Thorne.
Gordon Huffee, who is organising the event, is keen for as many local golfers as possible to join in and support the day. He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a day of golf, with prizes and trophies kindly donated by local and regional businesses and to raise money for a very worthwhile cause.”
Chris Smith, from St John’s Hospice Appeal, commented: “It’s great that the club has decided to host its annual charity golf day for us once again. I’d like to thank Gordon and everyone at Thorne Golf Club for their support and all the businesses who have donated prizes.”
There will be prizes for the first five places on the day in addition to a prize raffle draw. Donated prizes include a satellite navigation system from a local Ford dealership and a selection of prizes from Kärcher.
Places can be booked for £18 by contacting Gordon Huffee on c.g.huffee@hotmail.co.uk.
