A wellbeing event has recently been hosted by home care provider Bluebird Care Lincolnshire to celebrate the efforts of their team.
Around 30 team members and their families from the leading home care provider, who is rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, came together to enjoy the wellbeing event.
Led by Directors at Bluebird Care Lincolnshire, John and Victoria Webber, and Wellbeing and Engagement Officer, Michael Bryce, the session aimed to give back to their team and celebrate their incredible efforts over the last year.
Bluebird Care Lincolnshire provide high-quality care to customers across the county. Helping older people and other vulnerable adults to live independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes, they play a vital role in the community. Working alongside their customers’ families, social services, and the NHS, they ensure each customer receives the care they need, from 30- minute daily visits, to 24/7 live-in care.
The wellbeing event began with a series of talks, the first of which came from award-winning motivational speaker Steve Judge who provided an inspiring session on how individuals and teams can take the journey from 'Good to GOLD', both personally and professionally, and was warmly received by all in attendance.
This was followed with a second by Curves Gym, a women’s only club in North Lincolnshire, who gave advice on how to stay healthy and fit, before Rebecca Heald from More Than Nutrition concluded with some valuable insights into diet and wellbeing.
Following these captivating talks, team members settled down to enjoy a range of food and drink whilst exploring three local business stalls. This included Lincoln Melts and their wax melts, baths bombs and numerous other products, ItsyBitsyArtsyCorner who were offering face painting and glitter tattoos, and Body Shop, the well-known cosmetics and skin-care company.
The event proved to be a huge success, with team members enjoying the opportunity to spend some valuable time with one another away from their vital community work.
Speaking about the wellbeing event, Nikita Neal, said: “I would not change anything. I thought the food was fabulous and the atmosphere was good. I loved the face painting and speakers; they had a good sense of humour and a lot of knowledge.”
Reflecting on the importance of supporting the wellbeing of their team, Wellbeing and Engagement Officer, Michael Bryce, added: “We could not be happier with the success of our Wellbeing Event. Today was our chance, as a company, to give something back to our staff who work tirelessly bringing care and stability to the lives of so many people across Lincolnshire.
“I would really like to thank everyone that attended and also thank everyone that couldn’t attend today, as many of our team were busy providing incredible support to our customers. Our care team are the lifeblood of our company, and I am delighted we had the opportunity to celebrate them with this event.”
