Promedica24 has celebrated its employees, both carers and care managers, through a series of awards to recognise their hard work and achievements.
The awards also come as Promedica24 is marking 10 years of offering its specialist live-in care services in the UK, having supported over 1,700 families to live as independently as possible in the comfort of their own homes.
The Care Manager of the Year award went to Claire Aylett from the South team, who has worked at Promedica24 for over five years, helping ensure the high standards of Promedica24’s bespoke person-centred care. Claire has recently helped implement Promedica24’s new digitalisation platform Carebeans, and supported live-in carers in her region to operationalise it. Claire oversees Promedica24’s services across multiple regions, including Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, the Midlands, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire.
The nomination that won her the award emphasised that Claire “embodies all of Promedica24’s values – she is caring and supportive to people who use Promedica24’s service, care workers and her fellow care managers. She has a willing heart and always shows kindness.” Claire was further praised for being responsive and a natural problem solver, as well as knowing how to calm a situation before a problem arises.
Promedica24 also celebrated its live-in carers through the recently launched Kudos for Carers initiative which awards extraordinary carers for going above and beyond. The first two winners were Sofia Liban, a live-in carer in Dorset, and Liliana Despa, who works in York.
Sofia was nominated after doing “a fantastic job supporting a client who is going through a difficult patch.” As their dedicated live-in carer, Sofia has been “a rock for the client and always positive and with a smile on her face which makes a huge difference.”
Liliana’s manager applauded her perseverance and her positive attitude, as well as the “amazing relationship” she has built with the family she has been supporting for two years, which goes as far as accompanying them on weekends away together. Liliana was applauded for “always giving 100%” and for the care and compassion she always shows.
Claire Aylett, Care Manager of the Year winner, said: “Thank you so much to Promedica24 and to those who nominated me for this award – it is a great honour to have been named Care Manager of the Year. I would also like to thank my talented team – they are such a great support network and work hard to ensure that we continue to deliver excellent live-in care services and empower people to stay in their own home and communities.
“I am excited for the year ahead for Promedica24 as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary and continue to expand our services.”
