Bluebird Care Petersfield & Havant has announced that Havant and East Hampshire Mind will be its charity of the year in 2021, as it strives to promote good mental health in the local area.
Bluebird Care Petersfield & Havant, rated “Overall Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), has planned an extensive fundraising programme for 2021 where it will generate important funds for HEH Mind to expand the mental health support services.
The at-home and live-in care services provider wants to support its local community by working in partnership with HEH Mind to raise community awareness in regard to mental health and the local services that are available.
Bluebird Care Petersfield & Havant will work alongside HEH Mind to provide training to their team of care workers. The team will then be able to empower people to lead a full life as part of their local community, as well as spot any signs of mental illness within their staff and customer base.
Jade Hobbs, Registered Manager of Bluebird Care Petersfield & Havant, said: “The impact of COVID-19 on people’s mental health has been huge and we are determined to make a positive difference in 2021. Our partnership with HEH Mind will have an extremely positive effect on many people’s lives, and we can’t wait to get started.”
Mike Lock, Head of Community Engagement at HEH Mind, said: “Thank you to everyone at Bluebird Care for naming HEH Mind as their charity of the year for 2021. The funds raised will be vital in supporting the continued delivery of our free to access wellbeing services. We look forward to working in partnership with Bluebird Care to increase awareness of our wellbeing services."
