AVANTE CARE & SUPPORT TO BUILD NEW KENT CARE HOME

Avante Care & Support has announced that it has completed the purchase on an acre plot of land in Westgate on Sea, Kent, to build a state-of-the-art care home for older people requiring care.

The site is located on the Canterbury Road in Westgate on Sea and was acquired on 7th August 2020.

This exciting news follows Avante’s recent acquisition of Chaucer House care home in Canterbury in March 2020, and the plans for a new care home to be built in Westgate on Sea are the latest stage in the charity’s programme of development.

Avante Care & Support is a not-for-profit charitable organisation that has provided dementia, nursing and mental health care for nearly 30 years.

The charity owns and operates 10 residential care homes and two Home Care and Wellbeing Support services across Kent, Bexley and Greenwich and provides specialist care and support to over 1,000 people.

Stuart Cross, Managing Director said: “I am delighted to announce the purchase of this site in Westgate on Sea and look forward to sharing our plans for the future with the local community.  The new home will provide much needed care for an older population and meet the increasing demand for high quality care homes. I am also delighted that the new care home will open up a number of employment opportunities to Thanet once the home has been built.

“Our Vision for all our homes and services is ‘Communities where everyone has a vibrant and fulfilling life’. We will be looking to make this vision a reality for the people of Thanet.”
