Security expert Abloy UK is inviting healthcare professionals to stand F54 at the Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo 2021, to discuss innovative technologies that improve key management and security across all areas of care home estates.
Held at the NEC in Birmingham for two days on 15 and 16 September 2021, the Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo is dedicated to inspiring business growth and a sustainable social care model.
The event showcases the technology, products and content that will not only enable care homes to implement high-quality, person-centred care models, but also inspire business growth as a result.
Managing the care home environment is increasingly challenging, with pressure to fulfil compliance and sustainability, improve security, increase efficiency, meet CQC standards and achieve maximum value from any investment.
With this in mind, Abloy offers a range of cost-effective low energy solutions ideal to address the security challenges faced by care homes. From compliant fire and escape route solutions to meet BS EN 179, BS EN 1125 and BS EN 13637 standards, to drug security and patient lockers, with particular success helping to improve key management and security of controlled drugs.
These solutions include SMARTair Openow mobile access control, which replaces keys and smart-cards with secure credentials stored on a user’s smartphone. Facility managers can send, revoke and update virtual keys securely over the air from anywhere, which eliminates the risk of lost or stolen keys.
Shaun Powell, General Sales Manager at Abloy UK, said: “As industry leaders in compliant locking solutions, we understand the pressure and challenges faced by care home estate and facilities managers.
“The range and requirements of areas that need to be secured across care homes is extensive and includes lodgings, offices, drug cabinets, lockers, treatment rooms and outbuildings, as well as managing the flow of visitors, patients and staff.
“We’re inviting visitors to our stand at the Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo to learn more about our new low energy wireless solutions such as SMARTair Openow that offer a safe and secure environment, ideal for the care home environment.”
