RIGHT AT HOME FRANCHISEES SHORTLISTED FOR BFA AWARDS

Almas, 27, has run his Right at Home Loughton homecare business for three years, employing 40 people and providing quality care for 60 clients.

Right at Home is celebrating two franchisees who have been shortlisted for the bfa franchisee awards; Almas Adam for Young Franchisee of the Year, and Andrew Davis for Customer Focus Franchisee.

Almas, 27, has run his Right at Home Loughton homecare business for three years, employing 40 people and providing quality care for 60 clients. He has come a long way from the nervous teenager who was crippled by shyness; and his success to date has opened the door to far greater business ambition – a fantastic example of franchising empowering young people to reach their true potential.

Franchising allowed Almas to overcome his insecurities, whilst gaining a strong leadership foundation, as he builds a business he is passionate about in the fast-growing homecare sector.

Within his first year, Right at Home Loughton was awarded the Right at Home ‘Right Start’ Award for having the best start among Right at Home franchisees who began in the same year. And in 2017, Almas was a finalist in the innovation category at the national British Care Awards.

But as with any business, the proof of success lies in what his clients have to say. Based on independent client feedback, Right at Home Loughton is consistently awarded 9.9/10 on the homecare.co.uk website, and at their first CQC inspection in 2018, they achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating in ‘Well-Led’, with an overall ‘Good’ rating.

Nominated for Customer Focus Franchisee, Andrew Davis left the Army in May 2012, having served 17 years as a Royal Artillery officer. With a desire to continue giving back to the community, Andrew then established Right at Home Bournemouth within a few months. In 2016, Andrew purchased a second Right at Home territory in Poole.

Exemplifying Right at Home’s values, Andrew and his team have earned a first-class reputation, based on the person-centred and community-focused care they offer. This translates into a responsibility to improve the quality of life for all their clients, wherever they can.

This strategy Andrew has instilled in his team has resulted in consistently high client scores on the independent review website homecare.co.uk of 9.8/10, and equally impressive CareGiver satisfaction results, with Right at Home Bournemouth and Poole one of three Right at Home offices named as a 5 Star Best Employer in Care by smith+henderson.

Andrew is hoping to add to his recent personal achievement, having won the McDonald's Service Leaver Franchisee of the Year at the BSi Resettlement Awards in 2017. His dedication to his clients gives them a sense of security; and gives him the satisfaction of building a business that reaches into the heart of his local community.
