Woodland Court Retirement Village Hosts Free Open Day

Woodland Court, a luxury retirement village in Downend, Bristol, is hosting its first open day since the pandemic, showcasing some of the beautiful retirement apartments they have available. 

The open day, taking place Saturday 25 September, 2 pm - 6 pm, will allow locals, family and friends to take advantage of easing restrictions, and embark on a tour of the one and two-bedroom apartments Woodland Court has to offer. 

Included on the open day will be: a tour of the Woodland Court properties, the grounds and onsite facilities, a free Brunelcare tote bag, a leaflet about the village and refreshments upon arrival, visitors will also have the opportunity to ask questions as they walk around the village. 

Nicky Hunt, Woodland Court Village Manager said: “Woodland Court provides people with the opportunity to enjoy genuine independence, together with the option to call upon professional care and support if they need it. The Village is beautiful and our guests are absolutely lovely. The village is home to 44 residents, all of whom are living with us by choice. It’s a fantastic place to live. We hope lots of people come down to the open day so they can experience how beautiful Woodland Court is.”

The spacious one and two-bedroom modern properties, built in 2002, are surrounded by beautiful grounds and are located close to local amenities, such as a pharmacy, a Post Office and local shops. Woodland Court also has great onsite facilities such as a restaurant, bar and lounge area. 

A resident Woodland Court said: “I enjoy living at Woodland Court. The apartments, grounds and people are lovely and I have peace of mind knowing that I have help on hand if I need it. I live here with my husband and we genuinely couldn’t be happier.”
