PRIMROSE LODGE HOSTS FIRST SUMMER FETE SINCE PANDEMIC

Primrose Lodge Care Home in Weymouth held its first summer fete since the pandemic last Saturday, full of fun for the residents, staff, and the public. The annual event, which aimed to raise important funds for the care home’s residents, returned after a two-year break and raised £760.

There was plenty for visitors to enjoy with homemade cakes, cream teas, arts and crafts, and musical entertainment. There were also games and competitions with a tombola, and a raffle with amazing prizes. Someone was even lucky enough to win £100 cash.

Reflecting on the event, Linda Smith, Manager at Primrose Lodge said: ‘‘It was an incredible day, and it was fantastic to see so many happy faces, the residents and visitors had a great time. We are already looking forward to planning next year’s event. We also want to say well done to our competition winners, Rob for guessing the name of the teddy and Betty for guessing the weight of the fruit cake.’’

Specialising in caring for those with additional needs, the team at Primrose Lodge Care Home pride themselves on the family environment they have created ensuring residents experience a comfortable home from home with a warm, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere.
