Residents at Heath Lodge care home got into the spirit of Pancake Day this year by creating their own tasty treats.
The Welwyn home’s chef and its carers supported residents of the home in Danesbury Park Road as they prepared and cooked the traditional pancakes, as part of a celebration of the special day.
Once ready the pancakes were topped with residents’ favourite flavours and enjoyed by them and staff.
Obafemi Shoyombo, Care Manager at Heath Lodge Care Centre, said: “We had a fantastic time making pancakes and residents really got involved with the whole process.
“For many, it will have brought back some really special memories, with the smells and tastes sparking something in them which was plain to see.
“I would like to say a big thank you to our kitchen team for helping us out with the preparation and cooking, it made such a big difference to the residents’ week.”
