Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group has announced the appointment of Matthew McCanny as Manager of its new Kirk Lane home in Livingston. Matthew, who has been with the group since 2016, is promoted into the new role where he will be supported by newly promoted Deputy Manager Ann Livingstone, who joined the company in 2010.
Completed earlier this summer, Kirk Lane was officially opened last week by its first resident, Norman Todd and former Director of Nursing, Ingrid Neville who unveiled a plaque marking the opening of the new site. They were joined by Randolph Hill’s Managing Director Peter McCormick, Director of Care Standards Katie Wood, Director of Nursing Homes Operations Clare Allen, members of staff and nine other residents who have also moved into the new 60-bedroom development.
Through a £9m investment from Randolph Hill, Kirk Lane is built on the former Livingston Development Corporation site. The high standard nursing home brings 80 new jobs to the town and will help address the current gap in quality care home provision in West Lothian.
Randolph Hill currently cares for more than 350 residents and employs around 600 members of staff across its seven sites in east and central Scotland.
Randolph Hill’s Managing Director, Peter McCormick, said: “We’re delighted to officially open Kirk Lane and welcome Mr Todd as our first resident. The new development brings a high standard nursing care to the local community and will help address the current shortage of care facilities in West Lothian.
“I’m also pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew McCanny as our Kirk Lane Manager, and Ann Livingstone as Deputy Manager. Both are dedicated professionals with excellent care sector service records who have been a core part of the Randolph Hill team for several years.”
