BLUEBIRD CARE INTRODUCES NEW SUPPORT INITIATIVES DURING CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

Bluebird Care Care Assistant with The Safety Kit

Homecare provider Bluebird Care’s South Somerset, West Dorset and Purbeck Offices are rolling out a new ‘safety kit’, designed to maximise protection and minimise risk of infection for both their staff and customers during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The services will continue to deliver vital care to their customers, while adhering to their infection-control measures.

In addition, all Bluebird Care South Somerset, West Dorset and Purbeck care assistants are being issued with thermometers. They will be required to record and report their temperatures to their senior management teams on a daily basis.

In order to help many vulnerable or older people in the Somerset, Dorset and Purbeck communities, they have also teamed up with supermarket chain Iceland. They will now offer an essential shopping service with home delivery available for anyone that needs it, not just for regular Bluebird Care customers.

Bluebird Care are closely following and monitoring both NHS and government guidelines to offer the highest possible level of protection to their staff and customers. They will be holding regular reviews of all protective measures and will modify them as advised.

Ross Perkins, Director of Bluebird Care South Somerset, Bluebird Care West Dorset and Bluebird Care Purbeck, said: “The health and wellbeing of our staff and customers is our top priority. We are working hard to ensure everybody remains safe and assured that they will continue to receive the care that they require.

“Thank you to all the Bluebird Care staff, you are all so inspiring and I know you are providing customers with some much-needed comfort and reassurance during this uncertain time.”
