Andrews Boilers Keeps Kent Care Home Open
Published on 06/07/2016
Temporary boiler supplier, Andrews Boiler Hire, kept a Kent care home open when it experienced a recurring boiler breakdown which affected the care home’s ability to provide central heating to its 50 residents.
The residential facility had experienced similar central heating problems previously, and so employed Andrews Boiler Hire to undertake a full site survey.
The survey uncovered that the care facility was in need of a temporary boiler whilst repairs were carried out on its current system.
Following an assessment by a technician, a 250kW oil fired boiler was recommended and the emergency boiler was lowered into place by a vehicle-mounted crane, located adjacent to the facility’s entrance.
Carl Webb, Sales Director at Andrews Boiler Hire, commented: “We were delighted to have been able to provide a temporary heating solution to the care home in Kent. It can be very stressful for staff and residents in the event of a central heating breakdown, especially as the weather gets cooler. By supplying the residential care facility with a temporary boiler, we were able to mitigate the need to relocate over fifty elderly people.
“Our range of temporary boilers is extensive, with a solution available for every requirement. All of our boilers have two stage burners, which is unique to Andrews Boiler Hire, meaning a saving of up to 30% on the cost of fuel.”
